Owner & Lead Chimney Specialist

With over 24 years of experience in the chimney and construction industry, Chris McGovern is the heart and soul of ECC Chimney Service. A Trained chimney specialist through the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), Chris founded the company in 2004 with a passion for protecting families and homes across Connecticut.


Based in Thompson, CT, he’s known for his hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to safety. When he’s not inspecting chimneys or leading the team, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and giving back to the community he’s proud to serve.

Armand L.

Chimney Technician

Armand L. is a skilled and dedicated chimney technician at ECC Chimney Service, bringing over 10 years of hands-on experience to the team. Based in North Grosvenordale, Connecticut, Armand has built a reputation for his expertise in chimney maintenance, inspections, and repairs, serving homeowners across Thompson and beyond with a keen eye for detail and a passion for safety.


Outside of work, Armand enjoys exploring the outdoors in Connecticut’s Quiet Corner and spending time with his family, always ready to lend a hand to his community.

Customer Service & Office Support

Shannon M. is an essential part of the ECC Chimney Service team, serving as our customer service and office support specialist. Based in North Grosvenordale, Connecticut, Shannon is the friendly voice answering your calls and the organizational talent managing our scheduling, ensuring seamless service for homeowners throughout the state.


With 8 years of experience in customer-facing roles, she excels at keeping our clients informed and satisfied, handling inquiries, and coordinating appointments with a warm and efficient approach. Her efforts help maintain our 4.8-star Google rating, with customers often praising her responsiveness and care. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys hiking the trails of Connecticut’s Quiet Corner and relaxing with her family and friends.

Christine M. is a dynamic and knowledgeable sales specialist at ECC Chimney Service, spearheading the promotion and sales of Central Boiler outdoor wood boilers and parts.
